Reporting upstream to the Portfolio lead for Materials and CAPEX, the role will focus on end to end category management process incorporating stakeholder engagement, tender creation and management and assisting in the formation of got to market sourcing plans.

Category Management & Strategy

• Support the Category Manager in developing category strategies that drive value, manage risk, and improve supplier performance.

• Conduct market research, supplier benchmarking, and spend analysis to identify opportunities for savings and innovation.

• Assist in preparing category plans and sourcing strategies for approval.

Procurement & Sourcing

• Run Request for Proposal (RFP) / Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes under supervision.

• Support commercial negotiations to achieve best value outcomes for the business.

• Ensure sourcing processes comply with company policies, procedures, and governance standards.

Supplier Relationship Management

• Help monitor supplier performance against agreed KPIs and service levels.

• Escalate performance issues and assist in developing improvement plans.

• Build positive working relationships with suppliers to encourage collaboration and innovation.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements and priorities.

• Provide updates on sourcing activities, market trends, and supplier performance.

• Work with cross-functional teams to support delivery of procurement initiatives.

Operational & Compliance

• Maintain accurate contract and supplier records in procurement systems.

• Ensure compliance with ethical sourcing and sustainability requirements.
